A little context.

Where do I paste a shortcut?

Paste Codex commands in the Mac app composer, or Claude Code commands in its terminal session. Type / there to check which commands your installation offers.

Does a shortcut guarantee lower usage?

No. Use these controls to plan work, inspect context and choose a suitable model. Model requests, including summarizing a conversation, can still consume usage.

Why is a command missing from my app?

Availability depends on the installed version, account, platform and enabled features. The linked official documentation is the reference for current requirements.
